Main product properties Louro preto B-FIX Classic

  • This plank is used for outdoor floors or facade systems. With the help of special stainless steel clips, this profile is attached almost invisibly so that a sleek decking or facade is created. An instructional film can be viewed on the B-fix page.
  • The planks are sorted on one visible side, the back may contain some scraping errors, tire marks and/or roller marks.
  • The production reserves the right to deviate a maximum of 3-4% from the head size in order to be able to plan a beautiful, straight and dimensionally stable product. In addition, humidity can affect the head size (dry and warm weather causes shrinkage).
  • We supply wood at trade length. That means: not sawn square and not shortened to length, often with some excess length.
  • Dry cracks can be seen on the ends of the plank. Always calculate at least 10 cm extra sawing loss in length.
  • Correct installation is very important. Good ventilation, sufficient framing and correct fastening are required. Before you start, read our assembly tips and instructions carefully!


Certification/h3>

This product is FSC 100% certified. The origin of FSC wood meets global standards for sustainable forest management. The forest will remain. Trees only disappear if they can be missed.


KD 18-20% Humidity

This product is machine dried back (kiln dried) to a moisture content that is in balance with the typical outdoor usage. Upon delivery, the product has a more or less elaborated shape and will mainly shrink or expand (provided assembling instructions are properly applied) depending on the weather conditions.


FAS Grade

This product is sorted according to the FAS (First and Second) grade. This is the most common and also the highest grade of (tropical) hardwood. With this grading, at least 83.3% of the wood is free from defects, small defects can occur over the remaining part. For complete defect-free processing, this product must be assembled saw-falling.


Louro Preto

Louro Preto is well known among architects and is mainly used as facade cladding. It has durability class 1 and excellent stability. It is a very beautiful decorative wood with a golden yellow to brownish color. Louro Preto is easy to work with and can be used very well untreated.

Whether you are looking for a type of wood for wall cladding or facade cladding: Louro Preto is suitable. It is an elegant type of wood with a unique, warm hue. When applied to a wall or facade, it has a unique appearance. This type of wood has a kind of waxy substance in the wood structure, which limits water absorption.

Louro Preto usually has a regular structure, but it can sometimes be a bit confused. The wood is quite greasy and that explains some of the good qualities. Dried back Louro Preto has a very good resistance to fungal attack and is reasonably dimensionally stable. Over time, the wood acquires a beautiful gray color.

Louro Preto can be attached using coated or stainless steel screws. We recommend that you always pre-drill the wood, this prevents the risk of splitting. Do not use galvanized screws, they will cause black spots and streaks on the wood over time. It is recommended to use carbide tools during mounting. This is because of the hardness of this type of wood.

Note: Deep milling, longitudinal cutting or re-cutting can expose stresses. These stresses may have arisen during drying and processing. This is one of the reasons why we recommend adding 10% wood to your order. This way you can be sure that you have enough material to work with.
